Primary, enhanced and premium laminates from Avery Dennison cover a vast range of potential applications. However, for those projects where the application involves very specific label properties, our Mix&Match service can deliver a precise combination of adhesive, face-material and release liner.
The Mix&Match service allows you to specify any one of around 50,000 potential self-adhesive layered solutions, giving you the performance demanded by a particular job. Over the past fifteen years the Mix&Match service has proved a unique and valuable service platform for customers in all sectors.
All Avery Dennison adhesive technologies are available to users under the Mix&Match programme. Those technologies allow adhesives to have properties that range from extra permanent to ultra removable, and from high heat resistance to good deep freeze performance. Coat weight variations allow a product to be tailored to an even greater extent. More complex label constructions are often achieved through the Mix&Match services, such as special gum patterns, gum twins, transfer tapes and piggy backs.
The Mix&Match service not only solves specific label-needs but also controls cost. As well as familiar 1 metre production platforms, 2 metre production assets are now included. This allows you to create bespoke labels more economically, using most common adhesives, including those with hotmelt, emulsion and solvent bases.
The minimum order quantity for 1 metre Mix&Match products is usually 1,000 m2. For 2 metre, the minimum order quantity is set at a relatively low 12,000 m2. Customers often trial a new product at a 1 metre width before improving costs by using the 2 metre option.
Our focus on research and development means that we are not just willing to tailor laminates to match an application – we also have the range of products and the technical expertise to achieve the right outcome. Global reach across every market sector gives us firsthand experience of what works and what may not perform well. Label converters of all kinds can depend on Avery Dennison considering all of the off-the-shelf choices available in the first instance, or to work closely with you so that you can achieve the best possible Mix and Match bespoke laminate.
